This is very much dependent on the condition being treated.
In emergency cases such as air embolism or carbon monoxide poisoning a patient
may need only one or two treatments.
Diseases for which deep seated infection control, or angiogenesis is the main
purpose, may require 30 to 45 treatments.
Generally speaking, treatments are given once daily. In severely compromised
flaps or anaerobic soft tissue infections, however, this may be extended to
twice daily to maximise support of marginally perfused tissues.
